Leftover Pandoro, Pear and Fabbri Amarena Cake

300 g leftover pandoro

250 ml milk 

1 pear 

2 eggs 

2 spoonfuls sugar 

Rind of 1/2 orange Fabbri Amarenas + their syrup, as required

Line a small baking dish with greaseproof paper. Cut the pandoro into slices, cover the bottom of the baking dish with the slices and push them down with your hands. Heat the milk with the orange rind. Beat the eggs and sugar together in a bowl, before adding the milk and a few amarenas in syrup. Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Decorate with slices of pear. Cover with kitchen foil. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes. Decorate with a few spoonfuls of sugar and some amarenas Bake in the oven again for a further 10 minutes, followed by a few minutes under the grill.
