Apple Cake with Amarena Fabbri

  • 1,5 kg apples
  • lemon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 package (about 16 g) baking powder
  • 180 ml fresh cream
  • Amarena Fabbri, about 12 drained cherries
Preparation

Grease the pan, peel and cut the apples into slices, set them aside sprinkled with a little lemon juice. Whip the eggs with the sugar in a bowl. Add the flour and baking powder, sifting them in a little at a time and mixing slowly with a spatula so as not to deflate the batter. Drip in the cream, stirring gently until mixed. Place two thirds of the apples in the pan.

Then pour the batter to cover them well. Add Amarena Fabbri cherries and then place the remaining apples on the surface.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 180°C for about 1 hour. Remove the cake from the oven, uncover it, and let it cool for about 30 minutes before placing it on the serving plate.
