Beat the eggs and sugar together in a bowl until the mixture is pale and foamy. Then add the vanillin and continue beating as you gradually pour in the milk and oil. Now gradually sift in the flour and baking powder. Put the mixture into a round cake tin and add the strained amarenas. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes (test with a toothpick). When it’s ready, fill with custard, using a piping bag with a star-shaped nozzle. Dust with icing sugar.
